We recently undertook an attic conversion in a 3 bed semi in Tramore Co Waterford with Murphy Larkin. The brief was to use our existing attic space to provide a bedroom for our 9 yr old daughter but for the additional room to appear as if it was always in the house and not "tagged on".
From our initial meeting where all our options were explained to us right through to the completion of the job, we were delighted with the professionalism, attention to detail and reliability of Murphy Larkin. Our reservations that we would not be onsite to over-see the conversion were ill-founded as Murphy Larkin kept us updated on each step of the conversion and the finished product exceeded our expectations.
The new attic room gels seamlessly with the existing rooms in the house and the additional stairs and landing flow from the original landing on the first floor. The quality of the work of the various tradesmen during the build was superb and they were very obliging (even at weekends when we hit an obstacle with the central heating).
With any building work that we have undertaken in the past there has always been a snag list at the end of the build but on this occasion the standard of work was of such high quality that we simply couldn't fault any of the work to make a snag list.
We would highly recommend Murphy Larkin as Attic Conversion Specialists to anyone considering utilising that extra attic space.
